Husband and Wife Patrick Leger and Theresa Viggiano combined her passion for growing tomatoes with his love of making ketchup to provide us with the high quality, pure First Field Jersey Ketchup. Patrick and Theresa started First Field in 2008 with tomatoes from their regional New Jersey farm in Milford, New Jersey. First Field has always and will always use their delicious local New Jersey tomatoes to produce their wonderful ketchup. First Field is a small, community focused business, which first and foremost cares for the quality, consistency, and goodness of their products.
First Field makes a line of products based on the fresh, local ingredients that the wonderful New Jersey agriculture and farmers present to them. Theresa and Patrick buy local Jersey tomatoes from their regional farmer market, their onions are freshly cut locally, the spices are fair trade whenever possible, the cane sugar is organic, the apple cider vinegar is from a family-run company, and the garlic is grown locally in California. All of these ingredients are non-GMO and are never made with any shortcuts such as tomato paste or any concentrates. They produce a full line of New Jersey Ketchup, New Jersey Strained Tomatoes, and New Jersey Cranberry Sauce.
First Field also owns and operates their own small organic farm in Kingston, New Jersey. They grow a wide variety of fruit and vegetables for their products. They also experiment with organic and sustainable growing techniques. First Field is trying to find a more sustainable method of organic farming. Theresa and Patrick operate their company based on their love of their local communities and providing quality, fresh, healthy condiments to the world.
