Founder and CEO Viki Slater founded Viki’s Granola in Port Washington, NY in 2010. In 2009 while her daughter was in high school she was asked to donate to a charity bake sale. She thought her daughter was going to request cookies or brownies but instead she requested granola. Viki was pleased as this was easy to whip up and she had the perfect recipe. She made her baked granola for the bake sale and it was all eaten and was the star of the bake sale. After the bake sale Viki started receiving calls and e-mails from parents, teachers, students, and regular people in the community all asking for more of Viki’s Granola. In 2010 Viki started her business, Viki’s Foods, making her beloved granola.
The company was an instant success. Viki’s original kitchen space was located on Manorhaven Boulevard in Port Washington, New York, which for the first several months was constantly filled with pallets stacked high with Viki’s Granola. Viki outgrew her cooking facility with all of the orders coming in so she moved the company to Bethpage, New York.
